biography

 

Alec knew he wanted to be an editor since the beginning of high school after being inspired by the 1987 Coen Brothers' film "Raising Arizona".  He feels it is a wonderful concept to be the first person to see the film out of the millions of people that will do so.  He has also recognized that the editor has the power to change the story or mood of the film to whatever he or she wants.

 

Now Alec studies film post production at Santa Fe University of Art and Design under the Redford Milagro Emerging Artist Scholarship, awarded by Academy Award winning director Robert Redford. 

 

His editing works (as well as directing and writing) have been accepted to film festivals across the nation, with two of his short films being official selections to the prestigious Austin Film Festival in two consecutive years.

 

Alec's strives to further his career as a passionate and qualified editor.
